Paul Brunton - Lembre-se de Quem Você É
Excerpts taken from the books “Notebooks of Paul Brunton”. Born in London, Raphael Hurst or Paul Brunton (1898-1981) was a philosopher, journalist, mystic, and traveler. In his adolescence, Brunton practiced meditation with ardent aspiration. After serving in the First World War, he devoted himself to mysticism, and for several years traveled through India meeting yogis, fakirs, holy men and women of all kinds. Brunton found his climax in the encounter with Ramana Maharshi. Through meditation on the question “Who am I?” (Atma-Vichara), Brunton discovered that he was not the body; nor the emotions, nor the intellect. Finally, he was led to the state of absence of thoughts of the pure Self, which allowed a higher, unsuspected Self to take control. Paul Brunton authored more than 12 books encompassing all aspects of the Path and the spiritual quest. In his work, he clearly presents the theoretical and philosophical body of his teaching, which provides a synthesis of spiritual knowledge from all traditions, as well as the practices necessary to reach the highest states of consciousness. 🙏 Purchase Paul Brunton's books through our Amazon link: https://amzn.to/4gI7jYf 📚 Check out our list of recommendations: https://www.amazon.com.br/shop/corvoseco “That place from which thoughts arise is the true being of man, his true self. Between two thoughts, between two breaths, there is an imperceptible and unknown period, where man then pauses for a fraction of a second. In this pause, brief as lightning, he returns to his primordial Self, rediscovers his true being. If this were not so, if it did not occur a thousand times a day, man could not continue to exist and his body would fall to the ground, like a poor mass of inert matter. For the Self is the hidden force of life, the force that sustains it and makes it live, and these constant returns to the permanent source allow man to grasp the vital force necessary to exist, to think, to feel. These tenuous fragments of time are experienced by everyone, but recognized in…” "Its true value is known only to a few." Paul Brunton. "First, it is necessary to aspire to the discovery of your true identity. Without longing, the advent of Grace is improbable, and without Grace, there can never be any realization of the true self... Therefore, your desire to reach the soul must become so predominant and so unsettling that a continuous tension will be created within you. The timetable of a seeker's progress depends on several factors, but undoubtedly the most important of all is the strength of the longing in your heart for the Most High. We are like flowers plucked from our natural soil suffering the torment of separation. Our mystical and fervent longings represent the recognition of the need to reunite with our Source." Paul Brunton. “Unlike the arduous effort involved in the Long Path of self-improvement, the Direct Path focuses on the constant remembrance of Reality, in the here and now. This path requires a continuous effort to look within yourself, diverting your attention from the external world whenever possible, to explore the core of your human nature. Once your true identity is known, you must maintain this remembrance of the presence of your true self, which is your true state of peace. And this must be done at all times in your daily life. You must think and act in this world as if you were your own divine Self. In this way, what was once done out of selfishness will now be done through a spirit of service to humanity.” Paul Brunton Music: E J R M - Shrine ( • Shrine ) E J R M - Continuum I ( • Continuum I ) E J R M - Continuum II ( • Continuum II ) E J R M - Continuum III ( • Continuum III ) ======================================= 🎯 Corvo Seco is a study group on non-duality. 🙏 Help support our channel: PIX: [email protected] 📷 Instagram: / corvoseco 💻 Facebook: / corvoseco 📩 Contact us: [email protected] #PaulBrunton #nonduality
