first skateboarding session...

episode #1: with my newly gifted birdhouse skateboard, i hit the skatepark today after a quick trip to catch the sunrise by the river. it's officially day one, the first skateboarding session. last time, i scoped out the neighborhood for spots on the landyachtz, and suffered a minor abrasion on my left palm that left me with no choice but to keep it simple today. just working on becoming one with the board again. the crows are the only ones sharing the skatepark with me, watching from all around, almost calling out and reminding me that "unkindness" isn't just a gathering of crows, but the mess humans leave behind. or wait, a gathering of crows is called a "murder" right? idk. seriously tho... maybe the trash cans five feet away were still too far for such an “advanced” species like humans? i have absolutely zero clue. just going to mind my business. in today's session, i focus on the basic tricks like ollie, nollie, kickflip, pop shuv-it, frontside 180, fakie backside 180, backside boardslide, frontside 50-50, and a couple of tricks i couldn't quite execute, like the backside 180, backside noseslide, and frontside 5-0. after almost two hours, my body was asking me to call it a wrap for this first session. i have a long way to go. next up... practice, practice, practice, followed by some more practice. i'm definitely going to need some protective gear tho. chapters: 00:00 intro 01:08 rising of sol at the river 01:51 hard-boiled eggs 02:23 skate session 04:16 a murder of crows 04:42 water break 05:08 corvus brachyrhynchos 11:27 stairs & ledge 12:39 pebble 13:24 continue flatground 22:46 best friend
