Veterans Oral History - Steven M. Kane April 14, 2026
Steve Kane joined the Marine Corps with his buddy shortly after he graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence in 1966. Trained to be a radio operator, he would be sent to Vietnam as part of Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He took part in Operation Medina, Operation Pegasus and the Tet Offensive. He is among the Marine veterans interviewed for the book “Lions of Medina” by Doyle Glass.
