We returned to Serra da Estrela, Folgosinho to participate in the Chestnut Festival and went in search of the magusto (chestnut roast). We took a trip to Famalicão da Serra and, in addition to chestnuts, we tried jeropiga (a type of fortified wine). Nuno, the son of a Portuguese man, went to visit his father's homeland in 2000, living overseas for two years while doing a master's degree in political science. Erica – the daughter of Japanese parents – followed the path of many Brazilian dekasegi (Japanese-Brazilian migrant workers), and went to work in the land of the rising sun in 2003, where she lived for 5 years. Now we are living in Portugal. We also like to tell stories, whether our own or those of the places we have visited. Here you will see our travels through this country that has welcomed us so well.
