Fresh protests have erupted in Kenya as demonstrators accuse security forces of abducting activists. Clashes broke out in Nairobi after police opened fire and used tear gas to disperse protesters, leaving at least one person dead and several others injured. The demonstrations were held to mark the second anniversary of the 2024 Gen Z anti-government protests, during which dozens of protesters were killed. The Kenyan government has denied involvement in the alleged abductions, calling the claims politically motivated.
