Is Angkor Wat Worth $145? (Tomb Raider Was Filmed Here!)

We visited the iconic, the legendary, the amazing Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia! It was so much bigger and more beautiful than I had expected, and the freedom to explore the ruins was unlike any other ancient temple we had visited. While there, we learned that 2001 Tomb Raider movie had scenes which were shot at this location! Literally iconic. Afterwards we enjoyed some traditional Cambodian cuisine, Lok Lak and Amok. We lodged with The Community hotel during our stay and to be honest this was also a top of the line experience for us. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. It sounds a bit cliche to say it, but it did in many ways feel like home. The Cambodian people are amongst the most kind we have encountered, we really enjoyed our stay. All in on the day, we spent $145.
