Is Snorkeling in Nha Trang Worth $141?

We went on a snorkeling tour in Nha Trang Vietnam! Firstly, let me apologize for the audio. Typically when I'm in water I don't use a case and the mics become flooded with water and the audio quality changes. Usually I'm able to correct the change with the EQ for the most part, but water in and out of the mics repeatedly makes for a lot of back and forth changes. I thought I'd correct it by tossing the camera in the dive case, and making one global correction to the audio making for a more pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I didn't account for the case making all kinds of creaking and popping noises. I have no idea why this happens, but lesson learned! Anyway, the tour provided transport from our hotel to the boat where we were briefed on the itinerary and given the opportunity to pay for some extras like scuba, sea walking, and parasailing. We took them up on the parasailing, it always looks so fun from the ground! Well, as it turns out, at least for us, it is not all that fun. The harness was beyond uncomfortable to the point of being painful haha. On a plus side, the views were beautiful and it was an experience we would still be yearning for had we not tried it. We then stepped out onto an island bustling with other tourists to snorkel amongst some fish and reefs. I've never been snorkeling prior to this and my expectations were high - too high. Initially I felt a bit disappointed by the perceived underwhelming nature of.. well, the nature. However we realized there was more life and diversity in an area not too far way. After moving, it was really cool to be so close to so many fish and marine life. Next, we ate lunch which was provided by the tour. It was fine, definitely better than nothing. We capped off the day with swimming and snorkeling off the boat close to Hon Mot Island. This location had much more interesting marine life and was covered in sea slugs! All in all, today cost us $141. What do you think, was it worth it? 00:00 Intro 01:02 We're on a boat! 03:20 Parasailing 06:45 Hon Mun Island: Snorkeling 11:15 Lunch 13:25 Hon Mt Island: More Snorkeling 15:04 Today's Costs 15:54 About me
