The Making Of 'My Journey began at Timber Creek' | The Song Room

Take a behind-the-scenes look at the recording of 'My Journey Began at Timber Creek', during the first music workshops run by The Song Room in the Timber Creek School and Community. The making of video demonstrates the collaboration between students, community and our Teaching Artists, including one on one instrumental skill development. The program is generously supported by The Smith Family Katherine. The Song Room facilitators Steve and Cate (Realtone) worked with the students at Timber Creek School and members of the Community to write, record and film the song during a week in May 2022. Special thanks must go to Lorraine, Deborah, Susan and Margaret (Gunumu Aboriginal Corporation) for their presence, enthusiasm and generosity throughout the week and having a clear vision for what the song needed to be about and how it should look and sound.
