After showing you reactors under construction, decommissioning, and research reactors, we're finally able to take you to see a working nuclear reactor! We had the opportunity to visit the Chinon nuclear power plant in the Loire Valley, even entering the reactor room of Unit 3, which was shut down for refueling, with our cameras. We were also shown the spent fuel pool of Unit 4, the turbine rooms and evaporation towers of Units 3 and 4—the Chinon towers, incidentally, are of a special type that makes them unique in France—and the room with the emergency diesel generators.
