The Ridanna Valley, a beautiful 18 km long valley that begins near Vipiteno, is one of the sunniest and most peaceful in South Tyrol. The plan was to reach the Vedretta Piana refuge, at 2,254 m above sea level, passing through the Burkhardklamm gorge and the Aglsbodenalm hut, located at 1,720 m above sea level.
