In To Deep On The Ozark Overland Adventure Trail Day 1

In our 34th adventure, we set out to tackle Day One of the Ozark Overland Adventure Trail, and it didn't disappoint. Even without the rain that drenched our previous outing, the trail was as intense as ever, with deep mud holes, challenging water crossings, and the infamous "Hill That Never Ends"—a relentless 21° incline that seems to stretch on forever. We began our journey at a secluded campsite, perfect for future visits when water levels are higher. After a night under the stars, we joined up with fellow adventurers Michael from Arkansas Off-Road Adventures, Justin and Melissa from Highview Adventure Company, and some familiar faces. We welcome Eric and Misty to the group and to overlanding! Together, we took on some of the toughest terrain the Ozark National Forest has to offer. This trip had a bit of everything: from thick, sticky mud that swallowed our vehicles, to a massive fallen tree that required some serious teamwork to clear. We faced each challenge head-on, and while a winch was a lifesaver for some, we couldn’t help but wish we had one of our own.
