Felipe de Jesús Cantú, Morena's candidate to coordinate the Fourth Transformation committees in Nuevo León, commented on the arrest of former PAN governor Ernesto Ruffo Appel, asserting that the process must be conducted transparently and with sufficient evidence to guarantee impartial justice. The former PAN member acknowledged Ruffo's political career and recalled that he was a key figure in the democratic transition, becoming the first opposition governor in Baja California. However, he affirmed that anyone accused of a crime must face a legal process with full respect for due process.
