A Shih Tzu dog named Apollo surprised his family when he was found 1600 kilometers away from home. Identification was only possible thanks to the microchip implanted in the animal. The story began when Apollo escaped through the gate of the residence and an unknown woman took him away in a white car. Not knowing who the dog's owners were, she apparently tried to protect him. During this time away from his original owners, he even wore a collar with another name: Yuri. The mystery of how Apollo traveled such a distance is not yet fully solved. However, it is believed that he passed through several hands before arriving at the shelter where his chip was finally scanned. This technology allowed the information of the true owners to be accessed and they could be contacted to retrieve the pet. After receiving news of the adventurous dog's whereabouts, his owners immediately traveled to New York to rescue him. His return moved the entire family, who had maintained hope during the two months without news of him.
