Caso Berenice: novas imagens podem ajudar a desvendar o desaparecimento da cozinheira de 60 anos

The investigation into the disappearance of Berenice, a 60-year-old cook who lived on a ranch in Ubatuba (SP), has taken a new turn with the analysis of images and testimonies. The Ubatuba Civil Police are examining videos showing a black pickup truck followed by a red car in the area where she was last seen. Witnesses reported contradictions in the initial information and highlighted the importance of the main witness. Berenice reportedly left to visit a nearby beach carrying suitcases with her personal belongings. However, according to reports not yet officially confirmed by the police, she asked to get out of the vehicle before reaching her final destination. Images captured by cameras near the location are being analyzed to verify this movement. Eliane, Berenice's former employer and a person mentioned in witness accounts as having a conflictual relationship with the cook, was accompanied by her boyfriend when she gave her statement to the police. The latter is a military firefighter and will also be questioned by the authorities. A photo sent by Berenice to her daughter shows the suitcases she was carrying when she arrived at the ranch; these same suitcases were reportedly seen with her on the day of her disappearance. The investigations continue under secrecy while further inquiries are conducted in an attempt to clarify the events that occurred after she left the ranch. Close friends stated they were aware of possible arguments between Berenice and Eliane shortly before she disappeared.
