Rachel Khoo's After Dinner Chocolates

Rachel Khoo shares her simple homemade chocolates - a fun and festive recipe for christmas, dinner parties or even for an edible gift. Get creative with the toppings: a pinch of sea salt, chopped hazelnuts, kitsch little sprinkles or even some crispy bacon for that wonderful sweet and salty taste. After Dinner Chocolates Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 10 minutes Chilling time: 30 minutes Makes: a dozen or so chocolate coins Ingredients: 200g dark chocolate 100g white chocolate Different toppings: chopped roasted nuts sprinkles sea salt bacon cinnamon candied ginger Method: 1. Melt the chocolate (in separate bowls) over a bain marie. 2. Use a small cookie cutter to draw small circles on baking paper. 3. Place the paper, pen side down on to a tray. 4. Spoon or pipe chocolate onto the circles. 5. Sprinkle with topping of choice or swirl in the white chocolate to create a marble effect. 6. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes. 7. Use the same cookie cutter to stamp out perfect medallions or leave as is for a rustic, handmade look! Medallions will keep in an airtight container for a week or so.
