BDZ Steam locomotive 05.01 on a special train to Hisarya

On May 24 - The Day of Day of Slavic literacy and culture we had a double steam attractions - "The Granny Bear", 46.03 with train from Sofia to Bankya and the fastest steam loco in Bulgaria - 05.01 with another special train from Sofia to Hisarya via Plovdiv. On the video you can watch the train to Hisarya at many locations with the impressive loco 05.01. It's build in 1941 in the Krupp factory in Essen, Germany. The axle formula is 2’C1’ (2-3-1). The loco has three cylinder system and it's top speed reach 120 km/h. After the restoration in 2010, 05.01 was limited to 80 km/h due to safety reasons. For more than 6 years this nice locomotive is acting as museum loco and hauls an attraction trains in the whole country.
