Wrecked on the Farm, Restored to Perfection – Loake 1880 & Barker Shoes | Shoe Repair

In this video, we take on three pairs of shoe sent straight from the farm, complete with cobwebs, snail trails, and years of wear & neglect. First, a pair of Barker shoes in serious need of attention. The soles were gone, the leather was rock hard, and the stitching had given up. We stripped them right back, fitted new Ridgeway soles with leather heel stacks, replaced the midsole, repaired the stitching, and conditioned the uppers to bring them back to life. Next, a well-worn pair of Loake 1880s. These were cleaned, had the leather soles and heels replaced and the uppers treated to restore some suppleness and shine. A proper rebuild from the inside out. Finally, a humble pair of supermarket shoes — Not high-end, but we still gave them a clean-up and fresh laces to get them looking sharp again. Throughout the process, we use Renomat cleaner, Saphir Renovateur & creams to restore the leather. Honest commentary and attention to detail all the way through.
