In this video, I'll show you how easy it is to knit a pretty lace pattern in parallel rows. The pattern creates a very light, summery texture and is perfect for larger garments (sweaters, cardigans). Since the front and back look elegant, it's also great for scarves or shawls. Just let your imagination run wild with what you want to use the pattern for. You are welcome to copy and print this chart if you want to keep it next to you while knitting or want to refer to it later. CAST-ON | STITCH COUNT For the pattern, you need a stitch count that is divisible by 7. To do this, add 2 edge stitches. (/7 + 2) For example, cast on 28 stitches (divisible by 7) + 2 edge stitches = 30 stitches. If you want to work wider, simply add a number of stitches that is divisible by 7. You only need to add the edge stitches once, regardless of the width of the stitch. A slip edge, for example, is suitable as an edge stitch (which I'm working in this video). However, you can also work any other type of edge stitch. CHART The pattern consists of 4 rows (2 pattern rows and 2 purl rows) 1st row (RS) - 1st pattern row: sc, *p2, k2, yarn over, k1, 2 purl stitches together *, sc 2nd row (RS): sc, work as it appears, sc 3rd row (RS) - 2nd pattern row: sc, *p2, k2tog, k1, yarn over, k2 *, sc 4th row (RS): sc, work as it appears, sc Repeat rows 1-4 continuously.
