‘WSL Ving Tsun Kuen Hok’ - breaking it down #114 - ‘Chi Sau Concepts’ (Pt.20)

Welcome to week #114 in our series, and this week, a change of scenery as we present our segment from our school in Seremban! Today we are discussing the fourth attacking method in ‘Chi Sau’ known as the ‘Cham Kiu Fook Sau’ (尋橋伏手) attack, which is a direct application of the technique of the same name from the ‘Cham Kiu’ form that we have discussed previously in this series. Directly opposite to the ‘Laap Sau’ attack we looked at in the previous couple of episodes, ‘Cham Kiu Fook Sau’ comes from below rather than above, and is dependant on the ‘Bong Sau’ action to subtly set up the attack. Whilst not as commonly used as the previous three methods, this attack provides another line of attack for consideration and was a method that Sifu Wong Shun Leung himself used very effectively when doing ‘Chi Sau’ practice back in the day.
