Auction KIA LIMP HOME: Idles at 1,700RPM!? ('12 Forte P0507-P0110-P0605)
This poor 2012 Kia Forte has been around the block...the Auction Block that is! It starts and runs...but as soon as you start driving BOOM throttle response is lost and the ECM goes into LIMP-HOME Mode. 3 codes are set: P0605 Internal Control Module Read Only Memory (ROM) Error P2110 Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited RPM P0507 Idle Control System RPM - Higher Than Expected Let's use scan data and logic to see why the ECM cannot reduce the idle speed below 1,700rpm...
