Shop REFUSED to Work on this Subaru WRX?! (No-Crank, No-Comm with ECM?)

Got a call from the owner of a STRANDED Subaru WRX. He said one day it just STALLED on the street and didn't even crank. For 2 Weeks he tried the PARTS CANNON, but a new starter and ignition switch obviously didn't fix the problem. He then had the WRX towed to a local shop, who took a look at the "molested" car and pushed it back out into the parking lot LOL Now it's our turn to take a stab at the Subie...can we get it started in the cold parking lot without replacing any more parts?
