Hiking in Malta on Gozo – Stage 2 of our Gozo island tour takes us from Għarb to Marsalforn. After the impressive start of Stage 1, Gozo reveals a completely different side of itself today: rugged rocky landscapes, wild coastal paths, breathtaking views, the Wied il-Mielaħ Window, the beautiful Wied il-Għasri, and the famous Xwejni salt pans on the north coast. Before reaching the coast again, we begin in Għarb with a short detour to the pilgrimage church of Ta’ Pinu and up to Ta’ Għammar Hill. There, the Stations of the Cross lead to an open-air amphitheater with a free-air altar – a peaceful and special start to this second stage. For us, this stage was incredibly diverse and perhaps even more impressive than the first day of hiking on Gozo.
