Gutmadingen (Geisingen) (D - BW) Die Glocken der Pfarrkirche St. Konrad
This video presents the bells e1 -g1 -a1 -c2 [mi3 -sol3 -la3 -do4] of S. Konrad church in Gutmadingen near Geisingen, Southern Germany. ➥ The smallest bell [4] dates back to the time when St Konrad's church was built. It was cast in 1885 by the Grüninger bell foundry in Villingen and fortunately survived all the turmoil of war. The other bells were destroyed in the First and Second World Wars. The replacement was finally supplied by the Grüninger foundry in Neu-Ulm in 1951, which cast one of its last peals for Gutmadingen before going bankrupt. The sound quality of these bells is astonishing and shows a considerable improvement over the bells from 1950. The #bells still ring today from a system that is almost original apart from the controls and individual clappers.
