Lauffen am Neckar (D - BW) Die Glocken der Regiswindiskirche

This video presents the bells d#1 -f#1 -g#1 -a#1 [re#3 -fa#3 -sol#3 -la#3] of St Regiswindi church in Lauffen. ➥ On September 5, 1564, St. Regiswindi Church was largely destroyed by a lightning strike and the ensuing fire. The bells from that time were also destroyed. The first new bell is the largest bell in the current peal [1]. The Heilbronn bell founder Heinrich Rotenberger cast this exceptionally heavy, large bell in 1567. Heinrich Rotenberger’s successor cast the second-largest bell [2] in 1578, also with a heavy shape. The youngest historical bell in the ensemble [4] was cast by a successor to the Heilbronn foundry whose name is no longer known. It did not originally hang in the Regiswindi Church, but in St. Martin’s Church on the other side of the Neckar. However, since its tone matches that of the Regiswindis Church’s peal, it was transferred there after the war. However, one spot in the peal remained vacant after the war. Since 1965, this spot has been filled by a newly cast bell [3] from the Bachert Bell Foundry in Kochendorf. The entire peal is clearly a mixture of historic and modern bells. The ensemble is rounded out by the large bell with its distinctive sound.
