Wensleydale Railway - Track Renewal at Blind Lane January 2012

Earlier this year volunteers form the WR infrastructure team completed the first part of an ongoing track renewals programme under time pressures at Blind Lane near Ainderby. This was an important milestone for the railway. Funding for the materials used came from the ongoing WR Coin Challenge and similar work will take place between Leeming Bar and Northallerton. This will eventually allow the use of passenger trains on this section of the railway. This short HD film details the team involved and how the work progressed.
