HAM AND CHEESE PANDESAL ✔️Dough 1 whole egg [large, 60 grams] 3 tbsp sugar [38 grams] 2 tsp instant dry yeast [6 grams] 2 tbsp oil (any cooking oil) [30 ml] 1 cup fresh milk (lukewarm) [240 ml] 3 cups bread flour [405 grams] 1/2 tsp salt [3 grams] *bread crumbs/crushed graham (for coating) ✔️Filling *cheese (quickmelt) *pre-cooked ham •Yield of 20 to 25 pieces, 30 to 35 grams each (excluding the filling). •Softness can last up to 3 to 5 days if stored properly at room temp. 📝Notes: 1. Dough consistency may vary on the size of egg and type of milk. For use of dense type milk such as full cream milk & evaporated milk might result to a denser dough but can be still fluffy when baked. 2. Bread flour can be replaced with All Purpose flour but add up 2 tbsp oil to match the dough. 3. Bread flour contains high protein which develops strong gluten quickly when kneading dough, so do not over knead to prevent dough from drying out. 4. Dough can be sticky which is normal when kneading. May lightly flour (avoid adding too much) the counter or grease with oil to get rid of the dough's stickiness. 5. Baking time may depend on the type & function setting of the oven. I used bottom heat only in conventional gas oven.
