A slow and gentle check-in session Holding this space to settle down, release tensions, and check-in in two steps. Firstly, bringing attention to the breath and the body to stabilize attention; and secondly, exploring the feelings and emotions arising in immediate experience. 1. Intention for the session and overview of approach 2. Settling into a comfortable posture 3. Scanning the body and using immediate sensations as an anchor for our attention 4. Relaxing and gently opening more and more to immediate sensations 5. Checking-in: How are we feeling? How are we doing? Inviting an attitude of compassionate openness to this emotional tone, these feelings, and this overall experience 6.
