Today, I’m making Baked Hake with Potatoes—a simple, comforting, one-pan dinner that is completely fuss-free. The fish turns out incredibly tender and juicy, while the potatoes absorb all the delicious flavors from the sautéed vegetables and marinade. In this video, I’ll show you how to prep the potatoes so they cook perfectly, why sautéing the veggies first is a game-changer, and the difference between using mayo vs. sour cream for the marinade. This recipe also works perfectly with Pollock or Cod! 🛒 Ingredients: Main: Hake / Whiting (or Pollock) — 1 kg (2.2 lbs) Potatoes – 600 g (1.3 lbs) Onions — 1-2 large Carrots — 2 medium Vegetable oil — 1–2 tbsp Fish Marinade: Mayonnaise or Sour cream — 2 heaping tbsp Salt — 1 tsp Black pepper — ½ tsp Paprika — 1 tsp Ground coriander — 1 tsp Garlic powder — ½ tsp (or 2 fresh garlic cloves, minced) Whole grain mustard — 1 tbsp ⏱️ Baking Instructions: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25-30 minutes covered with parchment paper (or foil).
