EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2001 - My Top 23 (With comments)

As mentioned a while ago, my goal is to go back and make rankings on past years of Eurovision, with 2001 being up next, a pretty underrated year actually! The 2001 contest of Eurovision was the first to take place in Estonia, in the nation's capital of Tallinn. 24 countries competed this year. The 2001 contest was won by Estonia, achieving a first victory with Tanel Padar, Dave Benton & 2XL's "Everybody". Denmark, the hosting country, finished in 2nd place with Rollo & King's "Never Ever Let You Go". Third place was achieved by Greece's Antique with "(I Would) Die For You". After their regulation from 2000, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, and Slovenia returned for this edition, while Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, North Macedonia, Romania and Switzerland were relegated and therefore had to sit the year out. No new countries debuted this year. This contest was the second edition to take place in Denmark's capital. #eurovision #eurovision2023 #esc2023 #tanelpadar #everybody #copenhagen #denmark #estonia #songfestival
