Nyonya pulut tai tai/ pulut tekan Glutinous rice with Caramel kaya coconut jam 2020 #gingerlim

500g glutinous rice Butterfly blue pea for natural colour Boil the butterfly blue pea(bunga telang) for 10min and allow to cool Wash the glutinous rice and divide to two Soak half in the blue pea(bunga telang) water and the other half in plain water Soak overnight Add 400ml santan (coconut milk) & 2 tsp salt and 4 pandan (screwpine leaves) Line you tray with banana leaves Alternate between the white and blue rice Steam for 25 mins Compress the rice while it cools for 2 hours Serve with homemade kaya .
