Our endocrine system plays a key role — if not the most important role — in the state of our overall well-being. The different glands and hormones that make up the endocrine system constantly communicate and coordinate to ensure optimal bodily functions and to maintain homeostasis. Pranayama practice and breathing techniques are just a couple of tools I consistently turn to to support the health of my endocrine system. They have helped me navigate the ups and downs of perimenopause; I only wish I had those breathing skills to get me through puberty 😅. Better late than never.
