A history of "On to the Show": Laurel & Hardy's secondary theme
One of the composer's own favorites, Leroy Shield wrote "On to the Show" in 1930 for the comedy films of Hal Roach Studios. The song is best remembered as the secondary theme of Laurel & Hardy, being used in eight of the team's short subjects from 1933–'35.
