"For No Reason at All" is a composition written by Hal E. Rice and used in early Hal Roach sound shorts. The song appears twice back-to-back in Laurel & Hardy's "Hog Wild" (1930). Other appearances of the piece include the Boy Friends' "Doctor's Orders," Charley Chase's "Fast Work," and Our Gang's "Pups Is Pups" (all 1930). The original recording was made ca. May 1930. Another arrangement of the "For No Reason at All" with a smaller instrumentation appears in Our Gang's "A Tough Winter" (1930).
