This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. The Power of Words and Poetry in Prisons. Cristina Domenech is a writer and philosopher. She coordinates writing and reading workshops for children, adults, and inmates at the Rodolfo Walsh Student Center of the San Martín University Center (CUSAM), National University of San Martín, Penitentiary Unit 48, Province of Buenos Aires. She proposes using language as an instrument of liberation and as a way to change the world. She was born in 1954. She holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Business and Social Sciences (UCES). She studied Social Work and Literature. Since 1995, she has participated in numerous national and international writers' congresses and gatherings, including the Havana International Poetry Festival in Cuba in 2009 and 2010, and Cosmopoética 2013 in Córdoba, Spain. He published the books “Impalpable” in 1994, “Condensación de la Luz” in 1998, Tierra Negra in 1999, Demudado, in 2007, a “Poetic Anthology” in 2010, “En Voz Baja” Poetic Anthology of 2011 and “Sintaxis del knot”.
