Surely you would have come across the controversy surrounding the mass cutting of mangroves in Mumbai to make way for the Versova-Dahisar Coastal Road. People are up in arms to protest this genocide of a much-needed green cover. Just in case you are wondering whether the mangroves are worth saving at all, this is a video you must watch. We take half kilometre walk at Turzon Point at Sector 8 of Charkop, Kandivali, Mumbai. It is a splendid hidden nature’s nest that few know about. It has mangroves and mangrove adjacent trees all along and with that comes all manner of insects, crustaceans, reptiles, butterflies and birds.
