Experimenting with carding and spinning variegated Icelandic sheep yarn for Tour De Fleece. Welcome back to Life Raising Sheep! In today's video, I’m taking on a big challenge for Tour De Fleece: trying to preserve the sharp contrast in a black and white Icelandic fleece to create a truly variegated yarn. After my last attempt blended into a soft gray, I’m testing a new prep method by separating colors and carding them individually. I’ll also show you some beautiful Morrit fiber, talk about my backstory in wildlife art, and share a quick garden harvest update. It’s been a long week of processing, but we are closing in on our 4km spinning goal!
