How far would a mother go to protect the future of her child with autism? This special edition brings together two short films that explore maternal love, neurodivergence, and family relationships in the face of tomorrow's uncertainty. Both are linked by their protagonist, Alejandro Reyes Jaime, an autistic actor with whom I have collaborated for 15 years. In this video, I bring both works together to show the path I have traveled as a filmmaker: from my thesis short film shot on celluloid to my Ariel Award nomination 15 years later. 🎥 FILMS INCLUDED IN THIS COMPILATION: 1. Tere struggles to keep her family afloat while maintaining the fragile routine of her son with autism, as the threat of bad family news is about to shatter her world. 2. THE COLOR OF THE ROOM (2023): Short film nominated for an Ariel Award in 2024. Aurora faces a terminal diagnosis and makes the painful decision to move her adult son with autism to live with her best friend, Elsa, without being able to reveal the reasons for the move.
