摇元宵 自制滚元宵的窍门 Sweet Rice Dumplings
The biggest difference between Yuan Xiao and Tangyuan is that the former is shaken and the latter is kneaded. In the previous episode, I share how to make Tangyuan. [Ingredients] (This recipe makes 16 big sized Sweet Rice Dumplings/ Yuan Xiao) Glutinous Rice Flour 400g (3 Cups) Peanuts 45g (¼ Cup) Walnuts 30g (⅓ Cup) Almond s20g (3 Tbsp) Sesame 20g (3 Tbsp) Raisons 20g (3 Tbsp) Osmanthus Syrup 30g (1½ Tbsp) Sugar 20g (1½ Tbsp) Honey 20g (1 Tbsp) Unsalted Butter 40g (3 Tbsp) how to make Yuanxiao: 1.How to make yuanxaio fillings: roast all the nuts in the pan; let cool completely and add to a bag; smash with a rolling pin; add to a bowl and add sugar, osmanthus syrup and melted unsalted butter; Pour them into a container lined with plastic wraps and freeze for 15 minutes; Cut into 16 equal parts and round them; freeze for 40~60 minutes until firm; 2.How to shake yuanxiao: put 200g of glutinous rice flour into a flat-bottomed container; dip the yuanxiao fillings in water for 2~3 seconds; Put the fillings in the flour and add a ball under the container; shake the yuanxiao for 15 rounds; Repeat the water dipping and yuanxiao shaking process for 10 times; add more flour when it runs low; shake until they reach the sizes of walnuts; 3.How to cook Yuanxiao: bring water to a boil; lower the yuanxiao to the water with a colander; simmer with a cover for 2~3 minutes; cook 4 more minutes after floating; add more water to lower temperature when boiling; 4.How to serve Yuanxiao: add some osmanthus syrup in the bowl and serve warm. #yuanxiao #tangyuan #sweetricedumplings #glutinousriceflourballs #laternfestival yuanxiao, yuanxiao recipe, how to make yuanxiao, tangyuan, tangyuan recipe, how to make tangyuan, homemade yuanxiao, homemade tangyuan, glutinous rice flour balls, sweet rice dumplings, five-nuts yuanxiao, five nuts tangyuan, latern festival
