Crossing The Ampulaptsa Pass from Mera Peak to Lobuche Peak
Crossing the Ampulaptsa Pass at 5,815m is challenging to reach the Khumbu or Everest region. There can be a lot of rock fall and really important to be technically proficient so you can move as quickly as possible through this challenging terrain. From the top of the pass you have a steep drop down on rock and snow to reach the Imja valley and you have to continue for 4 miles to reach your camp for the night.
