🦐 She's Frying Up Insane Levels of Homemade Flavor For Us, "Goong Jom" Fermented Shrimp DELIGHT😋

I am going to tell you right now that this meal is pure comfort food for me - this is what the Thai part of my heart grew up eating - I am honored to share this entire meal with you today :) Welcome to some of Thailand's most UNDER-RATED and TRAVEL-WORTHY flavor - 'Goong Jom' is the delicious sour-salty fermented shrimp paste most famous from Prakon Chai, Buriram. This shrimp paste is so highly desired that anyone traveling through Buriram literally might not be welcomed home if their coming back empty-handed. When you're here, this is the ONE dish you have to try, and as its the Holiday season Im gonna go ahead and say this is the Esaan STOCKING STUFFER of the year :). There wouldn't be anything I would rather have if I knew that YOU were visiting this part of Thailand, and I am so happy we had the chance to have a meal like this for our own little holiday celebrations... Big Bonus too, as we doubled up with Jae Ann's amazing home-made 'Jaew Bong,' bringing things to another level of flavor. The two fiery flavors of ferment-tated delight are what make this meal the sustaining food of the Thai countryside. Please leave a comment if you know the simple joys of Thailand's Nam Prik chili dips with fresh vegetables, and something like a fish soup with white rice to seal the meal's perfection.
