Our Facebook:   / lostnrarerecipes   Our Instagram:   / lostandrarerecipes   Lost & Rare Recipes is an archive for some of the recipes from all over, which are extremely uncommon, some perhaps lost in the annals of time. || চিংড়ি বাটা || দুই বাংলার ছায়াঘেরা পথে পথে কত না মায়ার ডোর। সেখানে যখন সামগ্রী হয় বাড়ন্ত, নানীরা দিদারা বসেন সামনে কুচো চিংড়ির চুবড়ি আর শিলনোড়া নিয়ে। পাশে থাকে নুন হলুদ গুটিকয় শুকনো কাঁচালঙ্কা সর্ষের তেল। নিভু আঁচে রান্না হয় চিংড়ি বাটা। টগবগিয়ে ফোটে ভাত। ওপর দিয়ে ছড়ানো হয় কাঁচা তেল খানিকটা। সুঘ্রাণে ভরে ওঠে পাড়া। সে ঘ্রাণ যতটা এ রান্নার, তার চেয়ে অনেক অনেক বেশি যে মায়ার, স্নেহের, ভালোবাসার- সে কথা কি জানতে কারো বাকি থাকে? || Shrimp Mash || The shadowy streets of Bengal on both sides of the border are strewn with bonds of care. There, when ingredients are scarce, the grandmothers sit with a small basket of shrimps and the grinder. Some salt, turmeric, red chillies, green chillies and mustard oil lie by the side. Shrimp mash is cooked in low flame. The rice boils vigorously. Some raw mustard oil is poured on top. The aroma fills the locality. And who doesn’t know- the aroma that comes from the food is far overshadowed by the aroma of care, affection and love?
