Snorkelling Thompson’s Bay Rock Pool - Hidden Marine Life in Ballito (Part 1)

We spent a beautiful day at Thompson’s Bay rock pool in Shaka's Rock, Ballito, and I decided to grab my snorkel gear to see what marine life was hiding beneath the surface. I was amazed at how much there was to see. There were plenty of blacktail, convict tang, parrotfish, sea urchins, colourful coral, and other reef life right here in this rock pool along the Dolphin Coast. It just goes to show that you don’t need to travel far to experience incredible ocean life. Sometimes the best adventures are right on your doorstep. This is Part 1 of our day out in Ballito.
