The Katana's dry weight exceeds 230kg. It wasn't particularly heavy for a big bike of its time, but the low clip-on handlebars make it feel heavy to handle. I also feel the weight in various other situations, so I'd like to make it even a little lighter. When I tinker with my Katana, the one thing that always comes to mind is, "Can I make it lighter?" Of course, if I had all the money I could spend, I could do all sorts of things, but that's not possible unless I win the lottery. So, I've been replacing small parts little by little, wherever I can. Another option is to remove the power-assist clutch, which should lighten it by about 1kg. However, I won't do that because of my left hand.
