Welcome to the spectacular Vale of Rheidol Railway Steam Festival 2025! This morning marked a truly historic moment as the railway kicked off its spectacular event by unveiling the three Rheidol Tank locomotives steaming out of the shed together—a sight not witnessed since 1982! The event features the long-awaited return of No. 9 "Prince of Wales," back in traffic for the first time since 2020 after a fresh overhaul, unveiled in its authentic and unique BR Corporate Blue with double arrow branding. Bringing extra power to the mix are No. 7 "Owain Glyndwr" in fresh BR lined green and No. 8 "Llywelyn" in BR black, completing the historic display of all three Rheidol Tanks in their British Rail liveries.
