A Walk Through the Streets of Tanjung Balai (Sumatra, Indonesia)

With my Indonesian tourist visa getting near to its expiry date, I began arranging my transportation out of Sumatra and to Malaysia. I decided to take the Indomal Fast Ferry from Tanjung Balai to the city of Port Dickson on the coast of Malaysia. On this particular day, I needed to visit the Indomal Fast Ferry offices to upgrade my economy class ticket to a VIP ticket. I decided to go there on foot in order to see more of the city. Along the way, I stopped to chat with some people using Google Translate, and I shot a bit of video of our conversations.
