DH45 - SDSR Carnival Of Flowers Train to Toowoomba - 23/09/2017

On Saturday 23rd September 2017, the Southern Downs Steam Railway ran their annual train to Toowoomba for the Carnival Of Flowers. After departing from Warwick the train headed north, passing through several locations before arriving into the small township of Clifton for a quick stop to stretch the legs. It was then all aboard for the final leg into Toowoomba. The little towns of Nobby, Greenmount, Cambooya and Wyreema were passed before rolling into the historic Toowoomba railway station. Upon arrival, passengers had the choice of joining a coach for a tour of some of the prize winning gardens, partaking of lunch at the Railway Refreshement Rooms or simply exploring the City prior to the train ride back to Warwick. Unfortunately due to the dry conditions, the steam locomotive was not able to haul the train and was substituted with the Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive. This video follows the train on the forward run to Toowoomba only.
