8 Train Evening on the UPRR Sedalia Subdivision. Amtrak MNA Union Pacific goodies

Filmed today, July 20 2026 1. 3:56pm: eastbound MNA tops the hill in notch 8 at downtown Lee's Summit. Now you know why it's called Lee's Summit! Due to not running on the weekend the train is much longer and therefore features a third engine on Mondays. 2. 4:02pm: westbound coal empty departs siding. 3. 5:07pm: westbound IG4SIB rolls thru the siding at Pleasant Hill. He held off crossings till the dispatcher told him Amtrak was 10 miles away. 4. 5:14pm: eastbound Amtrak Mo River Runner rolls thru without slowing down. Good timing by the dispatcher and the stack train. The stack train also didn't stop again. 5. 5:39pm: westbound Beelman rock load gets going out of the siding at Strasburg. This train runs weekly-ish from near St Louis to the unloading facility at the former MKT Glen Park Yard near Rosedale in KCK. 6. 6:25pm: westbound MASNP after meeting Amtrak at Centerview. 7. 8 something PM: Amtrak Lincoln Service westbound at Lee's Summit. (this clip was from a different day, you get the idea) 8. 11:30pm: ZMNNP at Lee's Summit.
