WHY FISH WITH SPIRAL WRAPPED RODS?! Testing Gale Force Bottom Rod Prototypes Our prototypes rods have finally arrived and now we can begin the R&D side of this project! The first rods we grabbed were our new spiral wrapped bottom rods and slow pitch rods. We headed straight out to a wreck in 300ft of water with one goal: bend rods! After getting wrecked and bit off quite a few times we added some wire to our rigs and on the first drop pulled up a massive barracuda. Our goal is the create fishing rods that are lightweight, durable, effective and affordable.
