Fishing for 100+ lb Halibut in Washington State | Catch and Cook It is nearly impossible that we can go anywhere for any reason without making a stop to fish! An Alaska fishing trip for Salmon and Halibut have been on our bucket list for years. However, on our previous trip to the Pacific Northwest we not only successfully fished for and caught salmon, we also went Dungeness crabbing in Washington State. With that checked off the list, the next species was Halibut which, yet again, we we were able to successfully reel in a 100+ pounder in the PNW. I am not saying Alaska is no longer on the bucket list but it sure does make Washington that much more special. Ingredients: -Halibut or thick fillet of white fish -1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese -3 tablespoons mayo -3 tablespoons chopped green onions -2 tablespoons lemon juice -1/4 teaspoon of salt -A couple dashes of hot sauce Recipe: 1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees 2. Mix together softened butter, Parmesan cheese, Mayo, Green onions, lemon juice, salt and hot sauce and set to the side 3. Place fish fillets on a greased baking sheet 4. Coat fish in olive oil and season with salt and pepper 5. Bake fish for around 8 minutes (or until there are 2-3 minutes left of total cooking time) 6. Take fish out of the oven and add Parmesan cheese sauce 7.
