WHAT IS BEST? Diving lure or Planer Fishing with Bait Strip?

WHAT IS BEST? THE BATTLE OF THE LURES - Nomad (diving lure) or Planer with bait strip and sea witch? Planer fishing can no doubt be intimating and require extra special equipment but is it worth it? We always thought so! Once we started planer fishing we were hooked on the technique! Many different species will go for a strip bait on a planer. Whether they are trash fish (like bait) or sushi grade fish (like wahoo) the method will produce. We were taught how to planer fish from working in the charter boat industry and generally speaking if a charter boat is taking the time to fish a specific way it's probably worth a try. However, like anything there can and probably is a simpler and easier way to get the same results. So if a planer is a mechanism for presenting the bait or lure deeper beneath the water surface then what else would compare? We went straight for diving lures like Rapala's and Nomad lures.
